President - Jad Dixon

Welcome to the Fitzgerald Rotary Club!

I am very honored to serve as club president for the 2011 - 2012 Rotary year. Our message of personal involvement is captured in the phrase "Service Above Self". I have been a member of the Fitzgerald Rotary Club since 2005 and was proposed for membership by Van Waters. My grandfather, David Sims, was a long standing member of the Fitzgerald Club and was a Service Above Self Award recipient. I was born and raised in this community and have always thought very highly of the Rotary Club. I graduated from Valdosta State University in Business Management in 2000 and have returned to live and work in this great community.

I am very excited about the upcoming year. I want to strive for our members to embrace service in our local, district, and worldwide communities. This year we will continue to support the Polio Plus eradication effort, CART Fund, METS, GOAL program, STAR Student/Teacher program, Top Ten program at Fitzgerald High School, and other great local services. I want to focus on new membership and member retention along with being more active in the community.

Rotary is much more than a weekly lunch meeting. You can take pride in your contributions to the scope, vision, and impact of the programs of your Rotary Club.
